Gretchen Fritz of Plainfield was first elected to the board in 2014 to represent the residents of District 5. She previously served as a trustee for the Plainfield Public Library District.

Fritz chaired the Will County Young Republicans from 2009 to 2011 and served as the secretary of the Federation of Illinois Young Republicans from 2011 to 2013. She is also active in the Plainfield Township Republican Organization.

Gretchen is the owner of My Editor, a proofreading business. She is co-host and co-producer of On Target Radio on WIND "AM 560 The Answer." She is a member of the NRA, ISRA, and Fellowship Chapel church.
