David Izzo, District 2 (R-Tinley Park)

David Izzo of Tinley Park was appointed to the Will County Board in 2011 to represent the people of district two.

As a resident of Will County for the past 12 years, Izzo has been very active in the community by serving on the Lincoln-Way School District 210 Board of Education since 2005. He was the president from 2009 until 2011 and prior to that was vice-president for two years. Last year, District 210 was highlighted for having four of the top five high schools in Will County, and the board accomplished this while remaining one of the lowest spending per pupil high school districts in the six-county Chicagoland area.

Izzo has been a practicing attorney for nearly 30 years. He graduated from The John Marshall Law School in 1983. He currently works for Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company as a regional attorney. He also serves as an arbitrator for the Cook County Mandatory Arbitration Program and is an instructor for the National Institute for Trial Advocacy.

Izzo and his wife Regina have two children, both graduates of Lincoln-Way East High School. His daughter, Rachael, is a recent graduate of Purdue University and his son, David, is a 2009 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and currently serves as a First Lieutenant in the Air Force stationed at Scott Air Force Base, just outside of St. Louis. Izzo also serves the Air Force as an admissions liaison officer, helping to recruit and counsel prospective candidates interested in the Academy. In his free time, Izzo likes to golf and travel.
