Sharon May, District 6 (D-Channahon)
Sharon May is a life long resident of Will County, with a family history dating back to the 1890’s in the area. Elected to her first term in 2008 to the Will County Board, Sharon is also a member of the Forest Preserve District of Will County and the University of Illinois Extension. Sharon is a member of the County’s Executive, Land Use and Zoning Review committees, and former member of Public Health and Safety. Sharon was recently appointed to serve as a governing council member for the Will County Community Health Center. The center’s mission is to improve the health of the residents of Will County by providing access to quality medical and dental care through community collaboration, service and education. Sharon's career spanned 25 years in the field of training and development, serving as Executive Director of the Workforce Development Council of Will County. She is also a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Honig Bell. Sharon earned her Master of Education (Human Resource Development) degree from the University of Illinois and her Bachelor of Arts degree from Lewis University.
