Check will kickstart Sept. fundraiser for Children’s Advocacy Center
The CAC provides critical forensic advocacy and counseling services to abused children in Will County. Last year the agency provided services in nearly 560 new cases for children who were abuse victims.
“I am proud of the good work done by the CAC,” said County Board Minority Leader Herb Brooks (D-Joliet). “There is no service that is greater than helping children who are abused and neglected.”
County Board members Mike Fricilone and Herb Brooks, who sit on the CAC Board of Directors, accepted the ceremonial check from Citgo at Thursday’s County Board Meeting.
