Will County launches emergency preparedness smartphone app
Ready Will County will enable residents to create portable emergency plan
“Almost everyone has a smartphone these days, and the capacity of these phones is increasing rapidly,” said Will County Executive Larry Walsh. “You can manage your schedule and personal information from your phone, so it makes sense to have your emergency plans and information readily accessible through your phone, too.”
"The new Ready Will County app has a wealth of information and features to keep residents informed in the event of an emergency," said Will County Board Public Health and Safety Committee Chairwoman Judy Ogalla. "Today, people are very mobile and always connected. Having all this information conveniently available through a smartphone app will give residents one less thing to worry about should an emergency occur."
Residents can download the app from the Apple App store and the Google Play store. Search for keywords Ready Will County.
