Vince was elected to the County Board in 2022. Giving back and community belonging is important to Vince and that’s why he ran for a position on the county board.

Vince is a recently retired high school teacher. During his teaching years, he was recognized as a distinguished educator and he also held a professional educator’s license with multiple endorsements. He was also recognized as “favorite teacher” on more than one occasion. Vince’s love for education made him a sought out teacher and he still remains a mentor to many of the students he was lucky to teach.

Before being a teacher, Vince was in law enforcement. During this career, he spent time as an investigator, a juvenile specialist, an intelligence specialist, and a traffic enforcement officer. When he left the Evanston Police Department in 2004, he was top in DUI enforcement, responsible for training his shift on the complexities of building strong DUI cases and increasing the yearly arrests from single digits to triple digits with a high 90% conviction rate. Vince received multiple letters of commendation from his department and was recognized by MADD and AAIM for his DUI efforts.

Vince is also the CFO of his family’s business, Full Heart Publishing. Their company publishes only one author, his wife. She has seven published books, one being the best seller, A Girl With A Cape.

Vince loves spending time with his family. They love to travel and try to ‘cruise’ once a year. They have a two-week cruise planned for 2024 that will visit Italy, Greece, Spain and some other excellent stops in the Mediterranean. In addition, Vince and his son, Scott, travel to incredible destinations to ride motorcycles off-road, such as Florida, Louisiana, and Tennessee.

Vince believes in continuing schooling but also knows the importance of vocational education. He has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in teaching. He is also continuing his education to obtain a second master’s degree in public administration.
