“Law enforcement body cameras are an important tool that provides transparency for deputies and the public,” said Will County Board Speaker Mimi Cowan (D-Naperville). “I’m pleased that the County Board will fund this initiative.”
“These funds will cover the cost of the cameras and video storage for about five years,” said Finance Committee Chair Ken Harris (D-Bolingbrook).
“We’ve seen the benefit of these cameras for law enforcement and also for the public,” said County Board Minority Leader Mike Fricilone (R-Homer Glen). “I’m glad that our deputies and residents now have this valuable tool.”
